These pages are dedicated to all the volunteers who have graciously given of their time and effort to staff and train the many lookout volunteers during the below listed fire seasons. They have helped to protect our community from the threat of fire and disaster. Our communities thanks to them for their time and dedication. A special thanks to the unlisted volunteers for their uncounted hours of coordinating and scheduling tower coverage during these past fire seasons.

This site is dedicated to my very best friend Josiah Knowles, Jr. (Joe Knowles) for his many years of work and support for the volunteer fire lookout program in the Sierra National Forest. Joe passed away on the evening of October 26, 2006 while on duty and closing up the tower for the evening and on June 27, 2009 the Sierra National Forest dedicated the tower in his memory and name.
